How CargoCapture Is Provided

CargoCapture is a business product: access is purchased by companies for their employees and contractors. If you use the App as part of your work, the organization that provided your account decides which users have access, what is submitted through the App, and how long the resulting data is kept.

In data-protection terms, that organization normally acts as the data controller for the information processed through its account, and OCR Solutions, Inc. acts as a processor on its behalf and under its instructions. This Privacy Policy describes our own practices; your organization's internal policies may also apply to your use of the App.

Information We Collect

The App may collect:

• Account information: the username or email address, unique user ID, and role we issue for you. We do not collect this from you directly — it is provided by the organization that purchased access, or assigned by us when we set up its accounts. The App does not offer self-registration.
• Photos: photos that you take or select and submit through the App for container recognition.
• Precise location: GPS coordinates, only when you grant permission and use a feature that attaches a location to a submission.
• Technical information: limited device, application, network, and diagnostic data needed to operate, secure, and improve the App.

Passwords are not stored in readable form. We use appropriate security measures, including one-way password hashing and encrypted connections.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts
• Process submitted photos and provide container-recognition features
• Associate submitted photos and results with a location, when you choose to provide it
• Store and display your submissions and recognition results
• Maintain security, prevent misuse, and fix technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

Photos, location data, and submissions may be linked to your account in order to provide these features.

Sharing and Tracking

We may use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, image processing, and technical support. They process data only as necessary to provide services for the App.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use photos or precise location for targeted advertising, and we do not share them with advertising networks or data brokers for tracking.

Our website and web dashboard use only cookies and local storage necessary to run them and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Permissions

The App requests access to the camera, photo library, and location only to provide its features. You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may not work without them.

Retention and Deletion

We retain account information, submitted photos, location data, and recognition results while your account is active or as necessary to provide the App, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

Because accounts are provisioned for organizations, an account and its associated data are deleted at the request of the organization that provided it, or when its agreement with us ends, in line with that agreement.

You may also write to contact@ocrsolutions.com to request deletion of your account and associated data. Where the account belongs to an organization, we will forward your request to that organization and assist it in responding. We may retain limited information where required by law or for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or export of your personal data, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw permission for camera, photo library, or location access at any time through your device settings.

If you use the App through your employer or another organization, please direct your request to that organization first, since it controls the data held in its account; we will support it in responding. You may also contact contact@ocrsolutions.com directly. If you are in the EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16. Accounts are issued only to employees and contractors of our business customers, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact contact@ocrsolutions.com and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available at https://cargocapture.ai/privacy/.
